Our residency program follows the SAU/ERAS/NRMP guidelines for recruitment and selection. Applications are reviewed holistically, taking into account academic achievement, clinical performance, research experience, leadership, and service. Strong emphasis is placed on commitment to urology, professionalism, and the potential to contribute to our mission of improving urologic health in Puerto Rico and beyond.

• Selected applicants will be invited to interviews after initial application review.
• Interviews are conducted by faculty and senior residents to assess clinical knowledge, communication skills, and alignment with program values.
• Applicants will also participate in virtual or in-person program overviews, meet-and-greet sessions, and Q&A opportunities with current residents.
• We aim to provide a fair, transparent, and supportive process that allows candidates to learn about our training environment as much as we learn about them.

• Following interviews, the selection committee compiles a rank list in compliance with NRMP Policies.
• All decisions are made without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, or background.
• The final match is determined through the NRMP algorithm.
